This week has been all about moving and grooving and seeing how our bodies work!
We danced. We measured. We traced our bodies. We learned that our bodies help us move fast!
Ms. Emily made us special playdough. We built creations using plastic body parts, sticks, pipe cleaners and more! They were so awesome!
The kiddos each made a stamp of their hand and foot. We then measured to see how big our hands and feet are using snap blocks.
Ms. Kacie Linn taught us that our body is made up of different shapes! The kids created their own self portraits using pastels and watercolors!
We love sharing with our new friends! We have been spending lots of time playing with each other and learning about one another by sharing special pictures brought in from home.
We made “magic” red bottles that looked beautiful in out windowsill! Red has been our focal color for several projects these first few weeks of school.
Each friends shared what their favorite color was and we made friendship bracelets. Throughout our day, we can look down at our bracelet and remember our special friends and school.
We have been learning more about how important it is to have helpers and friends in the classroom. We have a friend to help take care of our plants. We have friends that helps keep our room clean. We have a friend that helps us to walk down the hallway nicely. We also have some friends that help us work on our calendar each day! We have a lot of great friend-ing and learning happening at Olivet Preschool! 🙂
Once a week the children gather for Music Class. Here we explore some basic music concepts; matching pitch, rhythm, and movement.
