We have had so much fun with the Letter D!! Not only did we learn about Dinosaurs this week, we had some very special people come share part of their morning with us! The highlight of our week was surely our Donuts with Dad! Together we Dino-stomped, built homes for our classroom Dinosaurs, and we best part, we ate DONUTS! Thank you Dads for making our week so special!
What A wonderful week we have had transforming our classroom into our own preschool Circus! We celebrated under the Big Top this week learning about all the entertainers you would meet at the Circus. We became Ringmasters, Clowns, Magicians, and Tightrope Walkers. We made Cotten Candy Treats! We wen made a special Circus Treat. The Children had the most fun in the world of Imaginary Play! It was so fun to see our Circus come alive under the Big Top!
Red. Orange.Yellow.Green.Blue.Violet. The Colors of the Rainbow! We are learning about these colors this week in some great ways! We used cubes to make the rainbow. We followed the rainbow to find the pot of Gold at the end. We had such a great week making beautiful rainbows out of clay. We even went on a scavenger hunt to find hidden gold pieces! So much fun!
What a wonderful week we have had learning about the Easter Story. On Monday our visit to Bible we learned about how the people welcomed Jesus into Jerusalem with Palm branches as he parades into the city. On Wednesday, we listen to the Story of Easter at Music. We sang about the apostles that dined with Jesus at the Last Supper. On Friday we made special boxes that told the events that happened over Holy Week. It was so special to be able to share with our class the importance of this week. He has Risen!!
We were a little behind this year Celebrating Dr. Seuss’s Birthday because of snow days! But that just turned our week a little wacky, just like Dr. Seuss would expect!
We focused our Dr Seuss on two books this week: One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish and The Foot Book. We did a lot of making patterns this week. We made groups of Fish. We even made our own Fish bowls by using a corn syrup painting. We loved how they turned out!
Also this week, we made a Classroom Big Book based on The Foot Book. Thanks to the Dads that joined us this week for our Big Feet page! We also explored many new textures with our feet! We had so much fun!
